If your service will not power on, the quickest way of resolving the problem and receiving accurate support is to rule out common scenarios. Please consider going through the following checklist first. We'll focus on first taking some steps on your own, as it will provide you with an immediate solution.
Perform the following troubleshooting steps:
- Unmount any ISO. Please go to the ISO section of your service controls, and click unmount. A problematic ISO can prevent a bootup.
- Turn off VNC. Go to your full "VPS Control Panel" and turn off the VNC feature. Sometimes, VNC issues can prevent a bootup.
- Try another control & ping. We need to see if all controls are broken or only the power up. Then, see if your service responds via SSH or RDP.
Once you do that, try again.
If it still doesn't work, please provide the following important information when contacting support.
- Let us know if you recently attempted to re-install the operating system.
- Let us know when the issue first appeared, and whether or not it previously worked.
- Let us know if your VPS connectivity is functional (sometimes it will say offline, but actually be online.)
Bonus: just to let our staff know that you've already read and followed these troubleshooting steps, put [T1] at the end of your ticket title and we'll handle your case with priority.
