DOY 1 ESTRELLA, pero ojala pudiera ser cero. Me da muchos errores al intentar acceder a mi VPS, ahora por ejemplo, no tengo acceso, estuve haciendo una cosa en mi VPS y sufrí una caída, me decía intentando recuperar conexión, llevo 15 minutos y no puedo acceder, si fuese algo importante estaría sufriendo, pero ya esto me ha pasado muchas veces. No cambio de VPS porque solo 1 archivo me funciona aquí, pero buscare otro VPS viable antes de pagar la siguiente mensualidad, esta web da pena el servicio que ofrece.

Support went downhill and arrogant lately.
Server not accessible via account dashboard, solusvm, SSH, VNC.
And support wants me to answer the questions
1. "Have you tried booting the VPS? What were the results?"
- So how can you rebbot if you cant access the server?
2. "Did you modify any settings before this issue?"
- No
3. "Is your service online status? If so, do you see anything on VNC, or what error do you see on VNC?"
- Its not accessible thats why you cant see the status in dashboard. Because its not even accessible via dashboard. It was not also accessible in VNC.

Now server is online and shows its down/no traffic from the graph during the two we reported in the ticket.

Maybe its time to start looking elsewhere for our 19 services.

Support and tickets are very slow answering even if you are in a hurry and if you want fast support you have to pay separately, it does not seem fair. I also asked for a change to custom ISO and they did not do it rigt first time, I´ve been waiting for more than four days since first ticket requesting a custom ISO. They could improve the support and it would be 5 stars. Otherwise good product and good price.

I would edit my last review or respond to the reply but this site won't allow me to.

In addition to my review. I emailed them for a refund on day 5 of my annual service. According to their policy I would be allowed a refund if I requested one within 7 days of starting a service. I was not aware of their refund policy, which is why I sent an email and even asked for a refund for 11 months out of a 12 month service that clearly was not going to work for me.

I became aware of this policy when the CEO Soheil told me about it while he was arguing with me how everything is my fault and explaining to me why they have no interest in refunding me, and why it doesn't make sense to refund me. After I realized I was actually right to ask for a full refund and I asked for one on day 5 I was denied again even though it's their policy to give me a full refund. Soheil the CEO seems to be making up excuses and finding new was to deny me a refund at all costs. I think it's an ego thing at this point. He also says they will help me determine how the VPS was hacked, but every time I ask all they say is the PW is too easy to hack. From what I can see of my VPS, there is no signs of it being hacked, nor have I downloaded anything at all.

A concerned customer

I've been a customer for well over 2 years... First year, not too many problems... Since then, we've seen tons of intermittent reboots, numerous hardware failures, and the support is non-existent! I can get far better service outta CONTABO 4core/8gig RAM 200 SSD for only 6$ a month!!! Are you KIDDING ME!?!?!? AND THEY ARE NOW USA BASED!!! Don't give these idiots your money!!!

Your service was on a node that recently had some hardware failure, and it was resolved. We kept customers updated throughout this time, and multiple server parts had to be replaced so this is not a common thing.

For two years though, to have issues only recently as a result of this hardware failure is fairly mild. I do see one other network issue during your time with us, and that was for a brief (few minutes) of packet loss. Any other situations where your service may have gone offline is most likely related to your operating system and you can create a technical support ticket for assistance so we can see why the operating system may be crashing.

I have been renting a virtual server from VirMach for roughly 6 months now. The virtual server is on the SSD256 package in the Buffalo NY location, and I have yet to run into any intermittent issues. Even with the price being low, there has been no degradation of quality of service.

I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing an annual VPS service instead of a monthly service. I used 1 secure website on chrome, and installed 1 secure extension from chrome, and nothing else. No downloads or risky sites of any kind. My account on this website has not been compromised. I have a secure PW on the VPS that would take 15 billion years to crack. After 5 days of using the VPS I received a notification that my service has been suspended due to using up my allowed bandwidth. They say someone hacked my VPS and it was used to send malicious emails which took up all the bandwidth. I asked to cancel the service and refund me for 11 months worth of the service since I can't trust it anymore. Instead I am blamed for using insecure passwords and accused of downloading malware. I thought I was being considerate by not asking for a full refund. They closed my ticket and said it's my fault it was hacked they will not refund any of the money for a service I can no longer use. I have used Virmach before and had a good experience, but after this, I will never use them again, and cannot recommend them to anyone. Their customer service is awful, and they prefer to blame their customers and be right.

Hi Shawn, I believe we went over this together and your password was actually much easier to crack than you thought.

For anyone else reading this response, some password "checkers" do not take into account certain variables that would take your password from being "15 billion years" to realistically being cracked in a few days.

Virmach is a good hosting company. They can be trusted from every point of view. And their services are reliable But, they are not perfect. They have their human and machine glitches and very occasionally their servers may be down. But this may happen once or twice in a year. It depends mostly on your luck with the location of your service. The machines have an acceptable speed, you just need to make sure you choose the hosting package for what you want to install. Their support is good but slow, very slow. It can be quick though, just surprisingly. Usually you will wait more than 24 hs until they answer a ticket. It also happens that when they answer the ticket, their answer does not relate directly to what you are requesting or asking. So you have to ask again. But you will get the right answer, eventually. So, if you are too impatient, do not do business with them. If you can accept these "imperfections", you can choose Virmach without any doubt.

Was charged twice for the same invoice and was not refunded.

We do not bill you twice and we also try to prevent that from happening. PayPal does not prevent that from happening, which means if you click pay twice on PayPal's site or go back/forward it may send us two payments. In these cases, our system cannot refund the additional payment because that's not how it is built, it would only take the extra amount, the overpayment, and give you store credit for it.

This is how many companies operate. For example, if you pay off your credit card twice, and pay it off excessively, they would not send you a refund or reject your payment, they would just add it to your balance and you would have credit toward future payments.

What you did is instead of contacting us, you opened a payment dispute. This complicates the matter and just like a bounced check you are now charged a processing fee. You never paid this fee so this was never processed. This leaves your dispute in a backlog, and once we do get to it you will most likely be refunded the duplicate payment, but your account will not be in good standing since you owe the fee for processing it manually.

You were on a server experiencing hardware issues. It was resolved, and you were credited 2 weeks for the outage.

It is the worst experience that I have when it is hard for me to contact the company for help when my service is being canceled by the company. I don't know the reason why this happens and there is not any information sending to me. I would never use the VIRMACH any more and I have already changed to Cloundcone which is better and more stable than VIRMACH. I would also argue that let anyone that I know does not use this. I just so sad about it and want to comment it expressing my emotion.

You created a ticket with us and then closed it yourself before receiving a response. You did not contact us afterward. Of course, we cannot assist you if the only ticket where you contacted us is closed by you. When it is closed, it is closed.

Up to this point, I have had no real issues with my dedicated server. However, that changed when our customers started notifying us of an application outage.

I immediately contacted support and the Jr System Admin replied and told me the outage is fixed. The problem is he did not read my profile and the location of my server and presume it was resolved. I had to tell him to check again and he finally realized he reported the wrong status.

Right now, he and Virmach has yet to provide me with a status update and an ETA to resolve.

VirMach, please fix this ASAP. This disruption has made it clear that I need to find another potential provider.
